The following report was given to the Open Group help desk.

Anyway, my key problem is that your togaf owl ontologies contains 116 errors, which is shame because the draft version was quite useful.

I used the W3C site to parse the .owl file. This is located at:

http://www.w3.org/RDF/Validator/

Also, when I try and load the file into SemanticWorks it also finds a fatal error.

Duplicate ID 'ServiceContract' [and being a fatal error - it just stops there]

I can't tell whether it will find the remainder of errors when the first error is fixed.

Error: {W105} Redefinition of ID: ServiceContract[Line = 33, Column = 44]

I've attached all of the errors to the word document,... but it can be easily reproduced using the W3C site by cutting and pasting the .owl file into the W3C parser.

Here is the link that the .owl file was located.

http://www.opengroup.org/soa/source-book/ontology/owl.htm

Looking at the errors, it appears that the ontology may suffer from the problem discussed at http://stackoverflow.com/questions/7118326/differences-between-rdfresource-rdfabout-and-rdfid.

The attached file replaces the "ID=" construct, as suggested in that discussion, and validates successfully at http://www.w3.org/RDF/Validator/

The SOA Work Group is currently reviewing a corrigendum to change the standard per the attached file.

The corrigendum is now published. It is incorporated in Version 2 of the standard (and is the only change from version 1). This is available from the Open Group bookstore and for browsing online.
